For UK patients.
Nemolizumab (Nemluvio) has been approved in the UK for treating moderate to severe prurigo nodularis in adults aged 18 and above, according to GOV.UK. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) approved the drug on February 17, 2025.
Does this mean I can get it on the NHS? No, you can’t get it on the NHS.
Why can’t I get it on the NHS? NICE has not yet approved it for reimbursement on the NHS, which means the NHS will not pay for it.
So what does this mean for patients? This means at this point you can only access it privately. If you have been able to receive it from your NHS doctor already, you will continue to receive it.
How do we know this? Prurigo Nodularis International – participated in the first NICE approval meeting earlier this year.
What is the next step? A final decision will be made at a meeting next year. PNI will participate in the meeting.
